migration Nprinting september 2019 vers November 2020

Bonjour,

Lors d'une migration Nprinting september 2019 vers November 2020 j'ai eu l'erreur suivante :

Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package

(Cf. https://support.qlik.com/articles/000078516)

L'installation fonctionne correctement a désinstallant complétement l'ancienne version puis en réinstallant le server Nprinting.

J'ai ensuite restauré (via Qlik.Nprinting.

Hi

first of all use the english language so we all can communicate. It is also foreign language for me. thanks!

This is what i translated using google translate - is that correct?

During an Nprinting September 2019 migration to November 2020 I got the following error: Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package (See https://support.qlik.com/articles/000078516)

The installation works correctly by completely uninstalling the old version and then reinstalling the Nprinting server. I then restored (via Qlik.Nprinting.Manager.exe) the NPrinting backup (September 2019) initially successfully carried out. However, after restore, the QlikNPrintingWebEngine service does not start anymore and I have a Postgres DB format error relating to the signed license mode.

For information I have the same problem if I validate or not the license before restoration. Do you have an idea? Is it possible to unblock this problem of starting the service? If not, can I restore the Nprinting repository without completely overwriting the database?

So what is the actuall problem?

If you are able to restore NPrinting September 2019 from backup - just do that. Restoring repo should restore your license and everything else. If your backup is corrupted - contact Qlik support.

In all other scenarios I would also suggest you contact Qlik support as this is hard to discuss case and will require in my opinion hands on access to your environment to investigate further.

sidenote:

restoration from backup can only be done to exactly the same version as backup was taken from!
