overlapping figures in line-chart

Hi buddy,

Actually it's not a new problem and we have always solved it by manual adjustment such as dragging the chart. But we see other apps can automatically avoid the overlapping noise via hidding some figures or distancing the very close figures.

Sincerely hope qlikview can make out some solutions to help us in solving this problem. Understanding updating the app framework is not so easy,  could you please develop some  "condition terms" for user to write in the formula or script?

Hi @LynnLI

It is not clear at all what your specific requirement is here.

Is this a QlikView question entirely (as it seems to be) or is your question based on a some kind of specific report requirement based on a Qlikview Application.

You  have shared some images but those do not clarify your requirement.

Otherwise if it is a QlikView application development question entirely, you may wish to post your question outlining your requirement in step by step detail here.

Hi @LynnLI

1. It is not NPrinting question

2. I wouldn't expect solution to be built as QlikView is rather in maintenance stage and not in feature development stage. If anything this can be probably Qlik Sense related feature request

3. There are workarounds to this by using dual() and additional measures with transparent datapoints to plot values without overlap. Obviously this mainly depends on data you are working with and requires playing with scale and ranges

cheers

cheers Lech, When applicable please mark the correct/appropriate replies as "solution" (you can mark up to 3 "solutions". Please LIKE threads if the provided solution is helpful to the problem.

Hi Frank,

Yes you're right, it's not a N-printing -related question. I have created another one under  topics of qlikview application. Thanks so much for ur kindly reminder!

Hi Lech,

Yes it's not a N-print quesiton and I have posted another one under topics of qlikview application. Thanks so much for ur kindly reminder.

I agree with ur suggestions on transparent datapoints to plot values because we just act like this currently. Think it would be even better if the transparent datapoints along with a line can be selective to be visible or not 🙂
