weather ports has to be open extensively

Hi Friends,

if we install  nprinting server and engine are on same machine then weather ports has to be open extensively ?

Hi!
Usually, when the services are installed on the same machine, you don't need to open communication ports to be accessed from the outside. A software-based firewall installed on the server might, however, even block inter-services communication, so, in that case, that would need to be disabled.

Which Software based firewall?

Hi,

You can use the firewall you prefer. We supply only information about the ports that must be opened to let Qlik NPrinting to work correctly. 

We don't supply suggestions on third party softwares or support on them.
