Any Issues with Replicate 2023.11.0.226 and the latest patch of Oracle? 19.23

Hi,

There is a planned upgrade of Oracle source endpoint to Oracle 19.23 (Critical Patch Release Date: 17 April 2024). Current Qlik Replicate version is 2023.11.0.226. Are these two versions compatible and could there be any issues with the patch that would require us to upgrade Replicate?

Regards,

Mohammed

Hello Mohammed, @MoeyE

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik Community!

There is no compatibility issues in the 2 versions however build 2023.11.0.226  is PR02, in PR03/PR04 there are several important defect fixes and enhancement around Oracle source endpoint including:

  1. The task would continue waiting (instead of exiting with an error) when a needed
Archived Redo Log was deleted correctly using RMAN.
  2. When capturing a change for a table that contained wide character columns, Oracle
Capture would crash after a reconnection.
  3. The Oracle OKV encryption method would not work properly due to incorrect error
    handling.
  4. The Oracle encryption method was incorrectly detected as HSM instead of Secret
    Store.
  5. When the value of the last several records in a column was NULL, UPDATE
operations on a table without a key would sometimes cause unpredictable behavior on the
    target.
  6. Missing UPDATE operations would occur when replicating Advanced Compressed
    tables with long values.
  7. Improved Oracle Log Reader logging.

We're strongly suggest to use Replicate 2023.11 PR04.

Regards,

John.

Hi John,

Thanks for the information. Where can I access PR04? From the downloads page, I have downloaded this which is apparently the latest patch for QR November 2023.
