Correct usage of SAP extractors - Init and delta without lost of deltas between init and delta mode?

Hi together,

I'm trying to create a new SAP extractor job with 2LIS_11_VAITM.

Theses are the steps with data transfers:

  1. fill setup tables in SAP
  2. download full extract
  3. download delta extracts

Now I'm running into a problem. Our SAP system is always in use - so there are changes over the whole day.
In the meantime where the setup tables will be filled, there can be new entries in SAP.

While the download of the full extract is running, the delta queue is yellow (disabled) and no deltas are recorded.
So until the download is finished, new entries will be missing too.

And the time between the "1. fill setup tables in SAP" and starting "2. download full extract" the new deltas are missing too?

Perhaps I'm wrong and SAP and Replicate are buffering the changes and everything is running correctly.

How do you guys do the first load in Replicate without a lost of data?

----------------------------------------

And another question - is it possible to do an export from SAP to Replicate of the setup tables once more without loosing the delta queue (like a test download)? For example to export a newer load of the setup tables?
In Qlik Sense with the SAP Extractor Connector you can download the initial load without destroying entries in the delta queue with a flag in the load parameter.

Walter,

Thank you for the post to the Replicate Community. For the SAP environments I would look at the 3 SAP endpoints along with the Limitations for each to have the Source and Target match and would think the SAP Application (DB) would be way to go. See the links below and if you have any questions please let us know. The SAP Application (DB) uses the SAP Application Layer for the records and layout for the Tables and stores the data Replicate Reads from the backend DB Natively.
