Find SAP Application (DB) Endpoint Right Database Schema

Hi All:

We are trying to setup the SAP Application (DB) Endpoint as we have read at this same forums and confirmed by Qlik support  that this connection is more performant that the simple SAP Application Endpoint.

However, each time we tried to implement it, we face the same error message. One of the endpoint connections parameters mentioned is the SAP Schema. Each time we tried to activate the connection it indicates that the SAP Schema is incorrect.  It returns a general exception indicating SAP Schema is incorrect, ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.

Looking at our database, we have found that all our tables are associated or are shown related with a schema called SAPXER. In fact, we tried to access to the SAP Oracle database using the Oracle endpoint, we are able to see all the tables: SAPXER.VBAP, SAPXER.EKKO, etc. All the tables associated to our backend database user. However, the same error appears.

Although counter intuitive, we have tried multiple combinations to see if the error get resolved. However it is not working. We are still receiving the same error messages. Could you please indicate me if there is a way to troubleshoot this error? Or what is your suggestion for find what is the right SAP Schema? Shall I look at SAP Application Server instead?

Kind regards

Gonzalo

Hi,

the SCHEM value should be what SAP server used.

Fox example: The most simple way it to logon the SAP logon client, and select system---status,

SchemaSample.jpg

then from the screen copy, for the database data part, the owner is the schema

thanks,

John.
