Hi team,
What is the impact on the target system if there is a change in the "column name" in the source system in a Qlik Replicate task using CDC? And how to overcome the same?
Thanks
Hello @Vandy ,
Thanks for opening the article.
The behavior depends on source and target side endpoint types. If both of them are regular RDBMS, then the typical behavior is:
1- Change in the "column name" in source side will be captured, and being applied to target side, so far the table structure and the data are synchronized between source and target sides. This is the default behavior
2- The task can be set to Ignore the DDL and keep the target side table structure as is, no DDL change apply to it:
Hope this helps.
Regards,
John.
