Hi Team
We'll try to build Qlik Replicate on AWS, but I'd like to know if Qlik Replicate would require any internet access for some reasons (e.g. license verification ) except accesses with source and target endpoints or access to Qlik Replicate's console. Could you let us know if internet access is required for Qlik Replicate?
Thank you
Hello @Hide_Taira
while Qlik Replicate can operate without direct Internet access in some scenarios (like purely local or VPN-connected environments), it generally requires Internet connectivity for tasks related to cloud-based replication, licensing, updates, and remote management.
Regards,
Suresh
Hello @Hide_Taira ,
Thanks for reaching out Qlik community!
Qlik replicate does not inherently require an internet connection for its core functionality. It is designed to perform data replication between various on-premises and cloud data sources and targets. However, there are specific scenarios where an internet connection may be needed.
Cloud Environment: If you are replicating data to or from cloud-based databases or services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Google Big Query, Azure SQL Database), an internet connection is necessary to connect to these cloud environments.
Product Support: For remote support sessions, diagnostic data uploads, or accessing online help and documentation, an internet connection would be beneficial.
Endpoints: If your data sources or targets are located in remote locations that require internet access to connect, then an internet connection would be needed.
An internet connection might be required for checking and applying software updates, as well as for verifying and activating licenses
However, for purely local or on-premises data replication tasks where both the source and target databases are within the same network, an internet connection is not a requirement.

Hi @Hide_Taira ,
Replicate does not require license verification through Internet. As you mentioned, you will need to open ports for the Replicate Server, Replicate Console, and access for the endpoints.

Desmond
We run QR and Enterprise manager fine on servers that don't have internet connection. This includes functions like updating and validating licenses
Hi @Jon_Donker , @Hide_Taira ,
Exactly. Thank you for your great support.
