Qlik Replicate in WSFC with 1 Primary & 2 Standby (1 Local, 1 DR)

Hi,

I intend to install Qlik replicate in the Windows Server Failover Cluster.

- There is one primary and one standby (synchronous mode) at the production site.
- One standby with asynchronous mode at the disaster recovery site.

Will Qlik Replicate support the above configuration in WSFC?

What are all of the considerations and best practices to be followed.

Thanks,

Rajes

Hi John,

Thank you for the quick response.

I have gone through the link you shared, I have below query.

Is it mandate to have shared storage for Qlik Replicate in WSFC Cluster?

Any other option can workable like storage level replication on each participating nodes instead of shared storage.

The reason asking the alternate is If I am going to use Primary in Production site and Standby in DR site, I can work on storage level replication instead of shared storage.

Thanks,

Rajes

Hello @rajes_kumar ,

Thanks for the update.

I'm afraid no other option. Because the Qlik Repository should be locate on the shared storage, where both Primary node and Standby node share the same repository information (includes task design information, task runtime information and stream position etc), otherwise there is no way to failover from one node to another. In short, It's mandatory for WSFC Cluster.

Regards,

John.
