Hello,
Is Qlik Replicate able to read changes from the replica/secondary in MongoDB? Any tips and suggestions to minimize the impact to MongoDB production?
Many Thanks.
Hello @kutay_cilingiroglu ,
There are 2 major different setup in the MongoDB cluster: Replica Set, and Sharding. (Master-Slaver is not recommended)
Qlik Replicate Supports MongoDB Replica Set. In this type cluster, the oplog are duplicate among all the nodes, so Replicate connect to any one node is good enough. See Replicate User Guide Prerequisites : MongoDB databases servers must be set up in a replica set configuration.
Replicate User Guide does not mention Sharding mode, however from our internal test, Replicate works fine with this setup. (it's worth a support case, or an idea article to confirm this mode if you like.)
Hope this helps.
Regards,
John.
