Replicate Realtime Streaming

Hello all,

I am new to Qlik replicate and would like to ask following questions:

We have requirement to migrate data in bidirectional from On premise SQL server to AWS Aurora postgre and vice versa. This would be full load and Incremental (CDC)

1. Does qlik support bidirectional replication for above two databases?

2. If CDC data is to be replicated as real time, do we need any external service like Kafka or qlik can take care of this itself ? Does qlik produce any latency in this case ?

Appreciate your assistance in this.

Hi @chinmayat

1. I checked our documentation and both of those endpoints are listed as supported sources, but only SQL Server is listed as a supported target, so your desired configuration is unfortunately not supported, at least not at this time. If you would like to request support for AWS Aurora Postgres as a target, please submit an enhancement request here:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Ideas/idb-p/qlik-ideas

See the link below for the list of supported endpoints. The source & target differ because the configuration involves two tasks, each with a source and a target.

2. An external service is not needed. Please refer to the section in the User Guide link above for more details.

Thanks,

Dana
