Hello,

Need to set-up Email alert notification on specific task. So that we could get notified if the task fails.

Is there a way to set-up the alerting in Qlik Replicate?

Hello @chandraprakash_j_volvo ,

There are 2 steps to set-up Email alert notification in Qlik Replciate:

1. Please go to SERVER --> Mail Settings, and input the SMTP Email Server information, You may "Send test email" to make sure the settings are correct. A sample:

You may add some "Default Recipients List" in the GUI.

2. After the Mail Server settings done, go to SERVER --> Notifications --> New notification --> Task Events, follow the wizard to complete the setup. For Example:

Dear @chandraprakash_j_volvo ,

You can set up email alert notifications on specific tasks in Qlik Replicate. Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Navigate to Server -> New Notification.
  2. Select ‘Task Events’ and give it a name.
  3. Under ‘Errors and Warnings’, select ‘Any Error’.
  4. Define the recipients and the notification message.
  5. On the ‘Associate’ page, choose ‘Selected tasks’ and select the individual task you would like notifications for.
  6. Finish and complete the notification setup.

Please note that for changes to task notification settings to take effect, the tasks need to be stopped and resumed.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other queries.

Hi @chandraprakash_j_volvo

you can set up mail notifications for every task even though it fails or success

Go to the server settings > Notifications > New Notification

Hi @chandraprakash_j_volvo ,

From the screenshot shared by you, It appears to be a permission issue due to which you have limited access to server options. [More info: User permissions]

However, I see 'New notifications' tab displayed in your view. Did you try clicking on new notification option?

New notification selection should prompt you to set notifications for task events or server events.

With regards to Mail settings, Only Admin users will have access to this. [Check user permissions]

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
Geetha

Hello @chandraprakash_j_volvo ,

Thanks for the confirmation. This is a user permissions issue. You are now using non-Admin user to login to Qlik Replicate console. Please change to Admin rule user to register license. See the default user permissions lists. I'm pasting some lines here for your reference:

Hope this helps.
