Using Oracle RDS readreplica as a source database

I would like to confirm whether we can use the Oracle RDS readreplica as a source database.

As far as I have tested in house with the following conditions, it seems to work fine.

- read replica is created in "Read-only" mode
- set up database according to the link below:

Working with Amazon RDS for Oracle
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/November2023/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedReplicateHDD/...

Q1. Can we use Oracle RDS readreplica as a source database?
If yes, is it OK to follow the instructions described in 'Working with Amazon RDS for Oracle' (the above link)?

Q2. Are there any restrictions or notes when we use Oracle RDS readreplica?
I think we can not use "Automatically add supplemental logging" option because the replica database is read only.

I appreciate your help.

Hello Tajima-san, @iti-attunity-sup

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik Community!

Do you mind opening a support ticket with:

1. Task Diag Packages.

2. The  Oracle RDS software configuration and hardware information (if you have)

3. The sanity test summary (for example the tests for Full Load and CDC, DDL etc).

We'd like to confirm with PM team.

Regards,

John.
