Qlik Sense StoryTelling to pdf or ppt is not as expected!

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble with my StoryTelling. When I start extracting my StoryTelling to pdf or ppt the outcome is not as expected? For some reason the colors aren't the same (changes) or objects dissapear?

Any reason why this is happening?

Can you provide us with an exported copy of your Automation and a copy of your QVF?
If your QVF has sensitive data can you try using this one (attached) to reproduce your issue, then send us a copy of the exported automation associated with this. Will try to reproduce. But please be clear what you expected results and actual results are.

Thanks!

Hi

Having the same issue. I am on Feb 2022 patch 2. I successfully replicated the issue with your qvf and believe I have narrowed down the scenario. Perhaps @Guney can verify if same on their instance. See attached.

We have a custom theme applied and Storytelling randomly reverts objects to the Sense Classic colours and font. The trigger appears to be when accessing multiple stories with differing filters. Meaning that when opening an app and creating a story (or navigating to an existing story) then pptx is in the correct colours and fonts on all objects. Thereafter, when navigating to a story with a filter change and back again, subsequent exports have random colour/font changes in objects. My test has the same sheet as slide 1 and slide 2. When exporting after changing filters then that same sheets has different colours and or fonts applied to the objects.

Hope this helps

Hi @Gillie

Nice work to reproduce!

However might reveal a problem with the theme itself.

I personally am not an expert in theme development so I downloaded a custom theme, followed your steps but could not reproduce the issue. All my storytelling pptx exports looked the same with multiple combinations of filters used.

I am attaching the individual unzipped theme files that I got off a 3rd party themes site so use only if you feel comfortable doing so. electric 80s.txt needs to be renamed to electric 80s.qext

If you wish check out the source code of the theme to see if there are any differences to what you have.

Kind regards...

ps: I will be out of vacay from July 1 to mid July...cheers!
