Making Qlik Server public

Hello

we have Qlik Sense server

we need make QlikSense server Public I.e. we want users to use internet to access the hub. We followed the steps mentioned by Qlik over their website , by adding the URL in the Virtual Proxies WhiteList , and the Proxy is configured on Port 443 for https connection.

We opened only port 443 on our Machine, and we were not able to access the Hub from an external connection. Once we opened Port 80 , the Hub is accessible but redirecting the HTTPS URL to HTTP.

For Security Purposes , since the Server will be public , we need to only keep port 443 accessible / open

kindly advise on how to make connection to our qlik sense server successful

I can walk on water when it freezes

I'm not a networking guy at all.  But I'd like to put my 2 cents in .

the Hub was accessible and redirecting the HTTPS URL to HTTP

1. Do you mean it redirected HTTP -> HTTPS?  I don't think I've seen where a browser would do a downgrade.  But I've never looked either

2. With port 80 blocked, port 443 open, can you access https://myqliksite.megacorp.com ?

If so, I would just have my firewall do a redirect.  It requires you to file a ticket, but your server would be compliant with the security folks
