We are trying out the free version of Qlik Sense Desktop (Win 7 environment), and really seem to like it. I have a question, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on it - When you run the Qlik_Sense_Desktop_setup.exe, it doesn't give any customization options. It looks like it installs and sets up the default app location at %UserProfile%\My Documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps. This isn't a big deal for most users, but some of them work in the field, and they also have their My Documents location mapped to a network drive.
I tried checking the SenseDesktop.msi, the .exe switches, the registry, and within the program, but I can't seem to find a place to change the directory where it looks for your apps. All newly created apps automatically get dumped into the users My Documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps folder. I understand that this is just a free version, but it would be nice to make that change for certain users.
you can change app folder in settings.ini add line. and don't foget add new line in end of file
all created application neede manual move in this folder.
Thanks for all the help so far.
I should have thought of this to being with, but it looks like we will still have issues running it if it can't see their %userprofile%\My Documents folder on the network. Is there any way to modify the original install path on this software? I've read the documentation for the other product, and it mentions a custom install path. I'm guessing the free version doesn't offer this?
Yes, you can install the application on another computer and then it just

I've moved the apps to a different directory by doing the following two things:
1. Edited the settings.ini file.
2. Edited the "Working folder" parameter in the Central Engine configuration.
My problem now is that after I've done the above, Licence Monitor and Performance Monitor apps stopped working. When I try to open either of them, I get the error: "The app you specified could not be found". Does anyone know how to fix them?
Nice. Very helpful.
Do any of you know if it's possible to include multiple folders?
Like: "C:\Qlik\Sense\Apps" and "D:\Projects\Analysis\...<subfolders>"
I could really use the separation of two locations.
