11.2 SR3 Upgrade to 11.2 SR5

Hello QlikCommunity,

I have been reading through the release notes and other documentation regarding the 11.2 Service Release 5 and haven't been able to find any information on the upgrade process from an earlier service release (we are currently on 11.2 SR3). The documentation only mentions upgrading from versions 9, 10, or 11 (not version 11.2).

Our main concern is whether or not we should uninstall QlikView before upgrading. I have heard that when upgrading to a newer service release there is no need to uninstall QlikView, but this has not been confirmed in the documentation.

Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated!

If you just stop the services and run the upgrade, you'll be fine.

Even if you don't stop the services and run the upgrade, you'll be fine too, but this is probably not recommended.

Thanks Michael!

We were successful in upgrading to SR5. We only had to stop the services and install the service release.

Hello! I'm upgrading to QV Server 11.2 SR5 from SR3. I managed to install everything without any issues but suddenly services won't initiate. They try to, but then stop. Do you have any ideas about what could be happening?

I tried installing QlikViewServer_x64Setup.exe but it said my OS was not compatible, so i had to download QlikViewServer_Win2012andUp.exe. I'm running under Windows 8.

Thanks!!

I have zero experience with Win 8 and 2012.  Just guessing that you need to use Win 2012 for server rather than Win 8.

Hi Chris,

i have been tasked with doing this upgrade for my company. Do you have a clustered server ( as we do ) or was it just one server?

Thanks in advance
