Access Point - remove apps overview

Hi all,

I have a problem with Access Point home page. Some users has snapshot off apps for which they don't have license. After, if they clik on it they can't access but i'd like remove the snapshots.

How can i achieve this?

Thanks

One way would be to adjust the access rights to the applications. By the NT authentication is it the active directory from the OS and by the DMS authentication you could specify it within the QMC by each document.

Another approach would be to restrict the visibility per section access. In the document-properties in tab server is on the right bottom an option to control the access point visibility with the section access.

The first method depends on the authentication method where the rights are set. If everything was sensible implemented - means using (hierarchically nested) user-groups there shouldn't be too many rights to adjust.

By the second method it's exactly one checkbox per application within the mentioned tab - if section access is already in use.

Nothing of it should be a real challenge for a contractor and if it does ... I would rethink this engagement ...

Thanks for your help Marcus. I must admit it's quite difficult for me because i don't have administration module. Sub contractors are tasked of this but they can't manage...

So in my mind (but i'am probably wrong) it was just a checkbox in Avaibility tab in QMC.
