Can't access QEMC System Tab

Locally from the server we can access all QEMC tabs but when accessing it from a different computer we can see Status and Document tabs but not the System one.

Port 4780 isn't blocked since we can see other tabs.

Any ideas?

Thanks

The following error is being logged in the QlikviewManagementService log everytime we try to access the system tab.

Bump. Any takers? Any ideas?

If you see tab "Status", what does it tell in "Services" ? All green and running?

If not, try restarting all , at same time.

Thanks for your response Alex, everything is working fine, even the QEMC works fine locally but not from a different PC.

Services and server have been restarted several times.

Hi,

Some ideas:

  • anything special in other log files, or Windows Event log?
  • are you member in QlikView Administrators group ?
  • is firewall really open, try from command line "telnet server 4780" . Terminal scrolling briefly and a blank screen means ok
  • is client in same Windows domain as the server?
  • did you modify permissions on file SystemSetup.htm in folder C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service\QEMC ?
  • are all QlikView services running with same account? Try to change that to System or Network Services , and see if it helps.
  • are you running IIS and QlikViewWebServer at the same time, with Qlik IIS components installed?

Thanks a lot for taking an interest Alex.

This is the only thing being logged in the Management Service log file (trace enabled)

Yes

Yes, the rest of the QEMC works fine, telnet works as well.

  • is client in same Windows domain as the server?

Yes

  • did you modify permissions on file SystemSetup.htm in folder C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service\QEMC ?

No, no permissions were messed around with.

  • are all QlikView services running with same account? Try to change that to System or Network Services , and see if it helps.

Yes, same account. I'll try running them on local system.

  • are you running IIS and QlikViewWebServer at the same time, with Qlik IIS components installed?

We're not running IIS, only QWS.

Thanks again.
