Controlling Session CAL Assignment

Dears,

is there any way to prevent or control the automatic assignment of Session CALs for the logged users?

Session calls are used by people that don't have a User CAL or Doc CAL assigned to them. You can't assign a session CAL.

Hi Rodrigue,

In QMC,

System --> Licenses --> QVS --> Limitations

You can limit the number of Cals for each type

Hence limit Session Cals to 0

Thank you Gysbert for your answer.

But look what is my concern:

I have a server with 10 Named CAL, 5 Doc CAL and 5 session CAL.

I restricted the Dynamic Assignment of Named and Doc CAL, so when an unlicensed user logs into the Access Point, he is automatically assigned a Session CAL. That is what i want to prevent. I don't want that he gets automatically the Session CAL. How can i do it?

That's how it's supposed to work, if you want to deny access to a dashboard, then apply NT security to the actual files e.g. deny,then they want even see the files in the access point OR use section access to stop them from opening it!
