Hi guys,
I've updated the application: removed a sheet from the application, removed some outdated dimensions, and added a few new dimensions.
Qlik reloads application without any errors, but during distribution we receive errors.
At the same time, the previous version works fine.
Some of the users have bookmarks created based on objects, columns which I removed during the update.
The screen from the log file is attached.
Has anyone met this issue before? Is it possible that bookmarks cause the problem?
Regards,
Vitalii
Hi @vchuprina !
If the server load is the problem, you might choose to distribute to folder, instead. You'd need, of course, to pick up one of the document folders as destination.
This way, you'll bypass the QVS service so you won't have to worry about its load.
If you'd rather troubleshoot this, you'd need to check the task logs, as suggested by @Chip_Matejowsky . If they show any error QVS side, you'd need to check the QVS Event logs at around the same time.
However, in most cases, switching to distribute to folder will solve this.
As mentioned
Hi @vchuprina ,
the tshared file (which contains the bookmarks) doesn't have any role at distribution.
I am assuming you modified the source document. When you say "the previous version works fine" does it mean that you have two separate source documents, distributed by two different tasks? Or do you just change back and forward the source document for testing purposes?
If it's two separate tasks, are they completely identical?
What are you distributing to, QVS? Folder?
I would suggest that you check the actual task log, and not the root log, as it will contain more information.
To reach the task logs, from the main Qlikview Distribution Service Log Folder, go into the subfolder named with the task running date (example: C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log\20220110) and then the one with the running timestamp/task name (example: C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log\20220110\083053 - Name of the file.qvw)
Hi Daniel!
Thank you for your answer. My distribution is for QVS.
I did a few changes to the qlik application (you can see the list below) and replaced the old version with an updated version.
After this, I receive a distribution issue.
I have this issue only on the Production server (which is more loaded), on the test server, everything is fine.

Task still failing? Can you attach the task log or snippet of task log showing errors/warnings?
Best Regards
