Hi It is possible to Hide the Qlikview Application in Access Point?
Regards
Sathish
Guys, I think there's some confusion here as to QV security basics. Sathish, I recommend you read the Qvs Reference Manual, which should help you. But in answer to your question, to remove an application from all users in the AP, the easiest way is to just move it to a different folder. Alternatively, you can remove NTFS Read (and higher of course) permissions for everyone, but that's a pain. To hide the application from only certain users, remove those users' Read (and higher) permissions. It's that simple: QVS will read the NTFS permissions and only display the applications to authorized users.
Keep in mind that if you're using Publisher and distributing, the distributed file permissions will not inherit from the parent folder so be careful.
Regards,
Yes It is possible.
You can hide application from user by cancelling authorization of user to that application.
HI Sunil,
I am not getting Correctly. I am using NTFS Authorization.
can u plz tell me what r the steps i need to follow?
-Sathish
Use DMS Authorization.
Go to Document tab of QEMC
Go to User Document
Click On You application and set authorization to user for QV application in authorization tab.
Hi Sunil,
Client Security is Very Big, So I can't go for DMS Authorization.
It is possible in NTFS Authorization?
or Particular Application it is possible to set DMS Authorization?
-Sathish
Dear Sathish,
For Particular Application it is not possible. But another option is use section access for application and do not give acces to user to whom you want to hide application.
security setting is for a server and not for particular application.

Sunil
Sunil,
Can U tell me how to use Section Access in Qlikview Server itself???
-Sathish
Hello Sathish,
Since NTFS authorization is controlled by Windows, you can modify permissions for that user in the NTFS Permissions tab in the properties of that file. It may be a good idea to create some different groups depending on the permissions to your different applications.
Regards.
You can use section access in application itself. pls check help of 'Section access' it will more clear you.
