Hi Team,
How do we check the expiry details for the QlikView desktop license?
QlikView desktop license are getting lost during random times. Please let me now the solution as it is very critical.
Qv desktop->Help->License Update there you see the expiry date
Hi @Shalom_Daniel,
How are you licensing QV Desktop? Using a stand alone license, or leasing a license from QlikView Server?
If using a stand alone QV Desktop license then you can use the Manual LEF Checker website to review the LEF for the license’s expiry date.
If using license lease then you’ll need to be aware that the license lease is valid for 30 days and needs to be renewed. See the License Lease Technical Brief for more details.
Best Regards

Hi,
Thank you so much this helped.
I have another doubt, my license is getting lost randomly, is it because of the macros that we are using in Qlik or some settings issue.
Hi,
Thank you so much for the help. I am using stand alone license.
I have another doubt, my license is getting lost randomly, is it because of the macros that we are using in Qlik or some settings issue.
The license information is stored in the settings.ini. it can be found here.
C:\Users\youruser\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView.
So if that file gets deleted, edited or you lose access to it. The license info is lost.
If you are leasing a license, it has to be renewed every 30 days.
