How to improve the speed of opening .qvw files in QlikViewDesktop

Opening .qvw files with QlikViewDesktop is too slow.
I want to do it quickly, what should I do?
Please respond to the following.

1. Is there any way to improve the speed?
2. Can it be improved by changing the settings?
3. If I change the settings in QMC, does it affect the opening of qvw documents?

I want to improve the speed, but I don't know how.
If you have any other options besides this, please let me know.

Thanks & Regards.

@qwebnm

The biggest factor is the recourses on the computer you are running QlikView Desktop. If you check the performance in task manager while you open the document, you should be able to see the consumption.

Hi,

Adding memory (to stop page file use)  will help and more process power.

When I check the performance in task manager, the memory doesn't go up much.
The CPU goes up 100 degrees and then goes down to 10 or less.

However, the CPU and MEM of other servers are similar, but .qvw opens faster.

Both servers have the same specs.
The problem server is for QlikView only, and the comparison server has QlikView server and various programs installed, so I think the problem server is lighter.
Why is it slower?

Please answer.
Thanks & Regards.

I've been monitoring memory when opening qvw and it's low.
Could it have something to do with memory?
I'm opening a single document, so I think I'll have to think a lot to add more memory.

Please answer.
Thanks & Regards.

Then this would be caused by the Sheet you are opening on. Try this, add a blank sheet to the QVW and save the docment with that sheet selected.

Close the QVW and reopen it and see if that makes a difference.

Also, if you don't have an synthetic keys in the data model.

Hi @qwebnm

Are you trying to open the file for development purposes? if you don't need all the data just make a copy of the file in your desktop and reduce the data, if  you need any specific data to develop something you just need to make sure whatever criteria you chose to reduce data doesn't include the data you need. Once you completed the development you can do a full reload.

QlikView Desktop, File menu "Reduce Data"

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/May2021/Subsystems/Client/Content/QV_QlikView/File_menu.htm

Hope it helps.
