Hi Community,
I have assigned Document CAL's to a document and then delete the document, I lose the Document CAL licenses.
Since I tried 3 times, so 3 document licenses are missing, how can I retrieve them?
Thanks and best regards,
Chanel

I have 600 Doc CAL's assigned to a document. Somehow, my .shared file got corrupted. Now, if I delete this file along with the .shared and .meta file and again add the same document to the same mount point should it show me all the document cals assigned? Can I then take away all the Document CAL's from the document?
Hi,
.shared file contains the Object's created by the user's inside the dashboard.
.meta file contains the Document Property Details (i.e. Document Category, Distribution list information etc.)
.pgo file contains the license details (Session, Document, User Cal)
Deleting .shared or .meta file shouldn't have any effect on the Doc CAL's assigned.
Thanks...
Thanks for the clarification. In my case, I have a deleted QVW which has 600 Doc CAL's attached to it. I know the name of the QVW as I have backups. I need to recover the 600 Doc CAL's as I need to assign them to a different document. In that case,as per option 1 in the pdf file, can I save a blank QVW with the same name in the same mount point(access point) where it was previously and will it then show me the document with 600 CAL's assigned to it? I would like to write down the steps, please correct me if I am wrong
1) I would go the mount point and delete the .shared & .meta file associated with A.qvw
2) Rename a blank QVW with the name A.qvw and place it in the same folder
Will I be able to see and update the number of Doc CALs to A.qvw as 0?
Thanks Much,
Tutan
Hi Tutan,
I would recomment you to try things first in your Test Server.
If you accidently change the Mound Folder name the Doc CALS for the QVW inside the Mound folder get's lost. The PDF attached will help to recover the CALS in such situation.
For your case you can try putting a file with same name inside the Mount Folder. Go to QMC -> Documents Tab-> Go to your mounted Folder click on the File -> click Document CALS and try to delete the CALS for the Document. I hope you should be able to do this. It will again have a quarantine period of 24 hours. So until then u will need to wait for the CALS to be released.
Then you will be able to assign it to other document.
Thanks ...
