IE 6, IE Plugin installed - Can I open qvw files locally?

Hi I'm new to Qlikviewer ,

I have IE 6, IE Plugin installed - Can I open qvw files locally? If so how?

I also have access to the Dev version but we need to know how to get the plugin working so users can access the qvw reports we've put together.

Thanks.

Plugin client is meant to be used with hosted qvw's on a QVS (QlikView Server). Do you have a QVS license?

Yes I do have a licence, do I need to do something on the dev / server to make the qvws available to plugin users? Thanks

Just make sure the .qvw files reside in the Folder directory your QVS is pointing to. Then users should be able to reach them via qvp://<servername>/<filename.qvw> .

Now this is a bare bones explaination as I do not know what kind of security you are using or whether you are using IIS or QVWebServer. For this information check out the QVS reference manual that is installed under \Program Files\QlikView\Documentation folder. If everything is set to anonymous the above should work fine.

hope this helps!
