Installing QlikView 11 Desktop while QlikView 10 is already on the server

Hi

I want to install QlikView 11Desktop while QlikView 10 desktop is already on the server, is there any specific care that need to take before installation?

Somewhere I read that I need to take a backup of QV10.exe before installing QV11, do I need to take a backup of qv.exe or qvconnect64.exe?

So you want the server to remain as v10 but upgrade your desktop to v11?

Yes.! Becoz I am doing tesing of QV11.

And remember that your applications developed in v11 will work on the v10 server but any v11-specific functions will not.

The above steps also kill launching help from F1 but you can still create your own shortcut to "C:\Program Files\QlikView\English.chm"

I would advise against saving the same document using both v10 and v11 - stick to a single version per application to ensure you don't get any weird stuff going on!
