Installing Service Release Qlikview 12.5

I have installed Qlikview 12.5 SR2 and I don't have any issues with the app right now, the issues exporting to excel was resolved with SR2. My question is, I just noticed there are SR3 and SR4, when I read the issues resolved with these 2 service release, I haven't noticed any of those issues with my system.

Should I install SR3 and SR4, even if I don't have any issues with my current version or should I wait for another big release?

What is the best practice? Install all the SRs as they come out or only if I need them?

Any help is very much appreciated,

Hello @hildacgg I would suggest to install major releases or at least before installing a patch as they come, first test if the patch does not break anything on your apps . In your case I see you are interested in not breaking anything related to Excel export so in this particular case, I would suggest you to keep on the release you are now, 12.50 SR2 as there have been some changes in the way data is exported to Excel in SR3 and SR4. Hope this could help you!

Hi @hildacgg,

Agree with Patricia's excellent advice.  Additionally, you can check the Release Notes for the the service releases that are available from the Qlik download site to see if there is a fix or feature in a newer version that you may need or want.  If you haven't already done so, suggest that you subscribe to the Support Updates Blog  in Community so you will be notified when a new version is released.

Hope this helps!
