Hi,
When opening 1 of 2 QVWs in the IE plugin v.9.0.7502.8 we get a runtime error and IE crashes.
So far we have tried
- restarting the service / server
- checking all versions are the same
- Removing certain objects from the QVWs
The server has 4GB of RAM and a fairly decent CPU but this seems like it might be a [pretty odd] resource issue as the CPU flat-lines at 100% for a minute or so before the crash.
Has anyone got any advice / similar experiences? This is holding up our deployment of v.9 as it is a showstopper.
Thanks,
Jules
Dear Jules,
I faced same problem . To solve this problem you have to update window patches.
After updation of window patches it will solve this problem.

Sunil Jain.
Thanks Sunil,
I've looked at the patches that are outstanding and nothing looks promising... see below:

When you updated window patches ?. see Microsoft constantly update the patches used in os . so pls update window online it will reflect your os and then after restarting system it will sollve your proble.
Because we do no have any idea regarding which patches updated or not .
so just update it.
Sorry Sunil, but our Admins aren't really that keen on statements like 'we do not have any idea... so just update it'!
I'm going to need more to go on before randomly applying stuff. Nothing in the outstanding list above strikes me as any way related to this error (they are pretty much all security updates).
if you copy that application on another PC it will open .
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. This problem has occurred on 2 different servers already.
I want to say is open that application in PC where you have allocated publisher license or that pc is able to open QVW file but it will not be personal edition.
There you will open this application.
When I Faced this probelem , I pasted Application to desktop from server. and I am able to open this application in Desktop.
Hi Jules,
By any chance you are using IE 64-bit on your PC?
I have never seen this problem, but 90% of time I could fix plugin related problems by repairing it via control panel -> Add/remove programs.
If this still doesn't fix the problem, I would rather open a support ticket to QlikTech.

Rakesh,
This error is not related to IE . When you open application for development it is unable to open application and give microdoft C++ runtime library error.
I faced the same probelem and solved after updation of window patches.
IE comes in picture after develoment .
so pls correct me if I am wrong.
