Hi,
I have a situation where i want to open the application on the access point with the Http://servername/qlikview so that i can access the external files that are on the shared dive with the links.
Using the Http://IP address/qlikview i can open but not able to access the external files.
using IE 11
Did anyone came across this issue let me know
Helpful answers are appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
You have to add mounted folder or place your document in End user folder located on below path.
QEMC--> go to system tab --> qlikview server --> Document tab -->
Make sure you place file there.

Thanks for the reply .
i dont see the option for mounting the folder. could you correct me if i am missing something..
Thanks
I believe Ashfaq meant to say 'Folders tab'. There you will see Root folder and mounted folder. Make sure the files are available there
Hi Ajay i checked it and the folder is mounted.
it will open the application with either server name and IP address on the server.
when a user tries to access it from his computer the server name is not working.
Thanks for the reply...
Hi,
If you place it on mounted folder,
make sure you selected browsable Option.
Yes by default your system will run with server name or IP allocated.
If not you need to configure the same in .host file.

Hi,
If the user can't access the server by server name, then there is an issue with DNS. He may not have his setting setup correctly on this network adaptor.

Hi,
If your Access point is working on Server & Not on Users machine then just check all the necessary Ports are Opened on Users Machine.
Attached is the list of Ports used by QlikView for accessing QlikView behind firewall.

it works on server with server name . but on the users machine its not working but i can open with the ipaddresss on the users machine.

Hi,
Did you add entry to host file.
Did you consider ports?
