The server fails and when it try to restart the following message appears in the Events Log:
" Warning Port Listen: Failure on Port 4747
Error Init: The initialization process failed. Failed to capture port"
The telnet command on port 4747 works fine, so it has to be something else. It seems that the old session of the QVS Service is blocking the port.
If you want to stop the qvs service it gives time out. The only way out to this problem is to restart the windows server. I'm working with Qlikview Server 10 V 8811.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Marco
It happened to me, too, anybody found the cause?

Thanks,

If you add two FIrewall rules, Outbound and Inbound on the port, will that fix the problem? I usually add 4747 and 4780 for QEMC.
Hi,
I have found same issue. Have you found any root cause of this issue ?
Thank You

Hi did you find a solution? I have this issue with version 11.2.
I was able to identify the service causing the port conflict using this tool: TCPView for Windows
