Hello forum!
We have two clustered QlikView servers running Access Point to which we publish applications from a third publisher server. The two Access Points can see a folder shared by the publisher server to which the applications are distributed.
I found the "Distribute To Folder" option in the Distribute step to be far quicker than "Distribute to QlikView server" as the source and destination folders are on the same box. However when using this method, the applications are not published with the categories assigned to them in Publisher. To assign the category I then need to manually set them in "User Documents".
The other method "Distribute to QlikView Server" does take the categories over.
Has anybody else seen this behaviour and found a workaround or know why it happens?
Cheers
Rich
Hi,
The only way Publisher will update the Categories is when you publish to QVS. However, once you do it manual then the information should stay in the .meta file.
