Hi,
We have 4 QVS server (they are clustered) and only have QVS services on them, however for some reason we are facing a strange issue on 2/4 server.
We have 1 application that is around 5GB and a .shared file that is around 1GB (a lot of server objects in the file). The load balancing is "Cpu with Ram overload".
While the applications is beeing opened on NODE 1 and 2 there are no issue but if the application is beeing opened on NODE 3 and 4 we are getting error "Failed to open document, file corrupt"
Has anyone encountered this problem before?, We have try to restart the services and the servers on node 3 and 4 but without any luck....
Hello @Sahal
Resolution
- Check QlikView Server logs and compare events in them with the times the error occurred in the QlikView Management logs
- Check what the events can tell: connection issues between QlikView Server and QlikView Management Console, engine down, problems in .qvw documents
- Corrupted QlikView Publisher Repository (QVPR): Rebuild the QVPR using the back up
- Check the rights on Documents root folder (C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents), compare with the user used in the services, and maybe reapply the rights (replace all child object permission) from C:\ProgramData\QlikTech.
Cause
- Corrupted QlikView Publisher Repository (QVPR)
- Connection issues between QlikView Management Service and QlikView Server
- Rights on Documents root folder (C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents)
Thanks,
Padma Priya
