QVWS, QDS and DSC servers disconnected (Failed to contact server)

Hi,

Jobs were running fine .However, all of a sudden, I have seen that all tasks disappeared(No tasks to display) from admin console.

Otherwise, reports still being refreshed normally !

I got QVWS, QDS and DSC servers disconnected  (Failed to contactserver)

I restarted the machine (Win Server 2008) in vain.

Changed Log on Services to local host (first logged as un admin local account) invain.

Any ideas please.

Thx.

Let's try this.  In the Setup tab of the QEMC, click on one of the components that is causing trouble.  Change the url of the component to include localhost or the ip of the server instead of the server name.  For some reason the server name cannot be resolved and the services can't talk to each other.

Verify that there is no problem with the user that is running all the QV services.  This user should be defined and a QlikView Administrator and Administrator of the machine.

Set the verbosity to High/Debug in all services, restart all services and report what's in the log files (warnings, errors).

What happens if you try and reach the service URL's? You can find them if clicking on the top nodes in the tree under Q(E)MC > System > Setup.

Hi @Raju_6952,

As this thread is over 12 years old, suggest you start a new on in the QlikView Management forum.

Suggest you review the QlikView Management Service (QMS) logs and provide them in your post. Also be sure to include architectural information such as if the environment is a single server (all QV services running on one Windows server) or distributed (QV services installed across multiple Windows servers), QVS version, QVS logs, etc.

Best Regards
