Qlikview 10 - Setting up timeouts on Supporting Tasks

Hello everyone.

We recently migrated from QV v8 to QV v10. When we were using QV 8, we had the ability to setup timeouts on the External Task. Now on QV10, it looks like that option is not longer available. Does any body know any workaround for this? Sometimes my Supporting tasks hang and at least I go to the Management Console to monitor,  the system will not automatically kill the task like it happens with the regular QV tasks. Please advise.

Hi,

If you mean EDX triggered tasks, go to the QEMC, Documents, Source Documents, click on the document and task, and check the "Triggers" tab for a textbox allowing you to change the number of tries and timeout.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your answer. However, that option applies only to regular tasks. I'm actually referring to Supporting Task. Please see the attached picture.

Thank you
