Qlikview QVAdmin license

Hi Team,

Can anyone please let me know if qvadmin needs to be a named license? We have another user who needs this license but not sure if we can delete the current qvadmin licence (see attachment) and replace this license for this new user.

Regards,

RB

You don't need a CAL to use the QMC. You only use it in access point, so no CAL should be needed.

Note that when you unassign a User CAL there is a 7 day quarantine period.

You can find more information about CALs here

Hi @inrahbis,

A Named User CAL is a requirement for leasing a license from QlikView Server to QlikView Desktop, so that would be one reason.  What scenario(s) do you foresee where a QlikView administrator would need a Named User CAL?

Best Regards
