Qlikview server on MAC

Hi There,

I am trying to access a qlikview server address that is internal on the network from a Macbook. On the Windows clients it is fairly simple, In Internet Explorer I enter the address to the server and it works. But on the MAC through Safari or Firefox it doesnt work. I keeps trying to look for an external website instead of internal as I use the server name.

Example:

Servernam/Qlikview/Index.htm  from Internet explorer takes me straight to the qlikview server access point. From the MAC it says that Servername.com cannot be found. Seems like it is looking for a website externally instead of locally.

Can anyone perhaps shed some light.?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Wynand.

Hi,

This solution is not ideal, but can you get the IP and use it instead of servername?

Regards,

Erich

You can also try using the fully qualified domain name or use the scheme in the url (http or https).
