RAM or Processor helps in increasing Data processing Speed

Hi Team,

Once I was attending a Telephonic interview & the interviewer asked me a question:

If it takes 10min to load a data from a database or QVD for x amount of data, and in future if the data size increases to 5x or 10x what will you prefer upgrading to RAM or Process. Since I was unaware of the answer I randomly selected RAM, but cannot justify my answer.

So, It a request to you guys to please help me out. If there is any alternate solution that would be welcome.
