Hi,
For accessing published documents over the web through the QlikView AccessPoint(AP), the ports 4747 (and 4774?) and 80 has to be opened in the server. Correct? Is it required that, any IP(user machine) accessing the AP, must also have the port 4747(and 4774?) opened?
Need clarifications.
Regards,
-Karthik
Karthik,
Take a look at this thread regarding that issue. Accesspoint means you are using a Web Server (either IIS or the QVWS), while when properly configured, the Plugin will not need this middle step, which results in better off performance. But it all depends on your network configuration and user clients, whther they allow 4747 por open or they don't, and the communication is tunneled via port 80.
Port 4774 is internal only, used between the QVS and the ISAPI DLL tunneler when using IIS, so it should not be opened to the public.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
No need to open 4747 port at client only at server side its needed. At client side only port 80 should be open.
Port 80 is for HTTP. So in order to access AP over web browser you need Http port open, thus port 80 is very imp.
