Hi all,
Can you please tell me
1Is source document and user document are related to each other.
2 If I have same QVW in source document and user documnet.
then after reloading the QVW file in user document will it be impacted on source document or vice versa.
3 Moreover when we can define the path of mount folder in both source and user document What is difference between
between both.
thanks
Source Documents are related to Publisher, without Publisher license you will only have User Documents.
For example, you have file A in Source Docs, you distribute the file to UserDocs as this folder is hosted by QlikView Server.
Therefore, if you then reload file A once in UserDocs, this will of course impact the hosted/published document.
So documents located under Source Docs, are the "orginal" file that you use when configuring a task.
In plain,
Source Documents = files to be used when setting up tasks with Publisher
User Documents = files hosted by QlikView Server, and then can be found in Access Point.

You see these different folders for documents when you have Publisher. Now I suggest you to read Server Manual for details.
HI Deepak.
1 Is source document and user document are related to each other.
If you have publisher licence then only you will get source document option or else you will get user documents.
We can say Source document is are the documents to be processed where as User documents are the documents which end user have access to.
2 If I have same QVW in source document and user document.
Your qvw application will be distributed from source document to user document.
if you have same file in both folder and let say you have some secure distribution. then distribution from source to user document will take priority.
Documents only move from source document to user docements but not vice cersa.
you cannot schedule your document from user documents if you already have source document.
3 Moreover when we can define the path of mount folder in both source and user document What is difference between
between both.
If you have some specific folder pattern then mounted folders come into picture

Have you ever seen an instance where after scheduled reload of a Source Document it is complete removed fromt the source document file folder? Could this be due to improper configuration of folders or some other server setting
? The entire .qvw is gone immediately after reload with no error reported on the server task.
Hi,
I haven't seen anything like this before.
Document cannot be removed from source folder.
