Hi,
Have created an application on a machine logged in as myself. Had in mind that the installation was linked to the computer and not to the logged in user. Another user could not open the file though.
Two questions:
- The installation is linked to the logged in user. Right?
- Is it possible to switch the link to another user?
Regards,
Mikael
You installation should be installed with license, so that other user can open your file from his session.
Till now its not possible
You can use the recovery option on the target user's computer (the same one used to switch Personal documents to a new computer), but this is limited to three times per file, iirc, and you won't be able to maintain the file except on that user's machine.
Alternatively, you can recreate the file on that user's machine using that user's login. If you are able to lease a license from a server (or temporarily enter your Developer license), you should be able to just copy-paste everything.
It's possible when you have Qlikview Developer license installed on the machine and not possible only when leasing from server.
The license is tied to the user. The installed software can be used by any user, but the user will get Personal Edition unless he/she either entered a license or leases a license from a Qlikview Server where a user cal has been assigned to that user.
