Updating QlikView Desktop version 12.10 SR 1 url not found

Hi!

I'm trying to update my outdated version of QlikView Desktop (v. 12.10 SR 1) and I get the following error: http://www.qliktech.com/UpdateURL not found.

Might this be caused by the change from qlikview to qlik?

If so, how can I determine the download url?

Hello Noll,

The Update URL seems to be unavailable right now (or overall, we'll need to look into this from our end).

In the meantime, you can download a new version directly from the download site: https://demo.qlik.com/download/. A customer login is required to be able to access the latest version.

Kind Regards,

Sonja

Just a heads-up, Qlikview 12.10 is outside R&D's patch support window, is there a reason you're not upgrading to a more recent version of Qlikview that's within the patch window such as Qlikview November 2018?

Thanks,
Josh

Just a correction to Josh's post above, the 12.10 track IS still supported until this fall when the next major point release comes out, sorry for the misleading post here.

So the general rule for releases is they are fully supported for two years post the release of the next major release after it, hopefully that will help everyone sort things a little better.  There can be exceptions like what we have done with the 11.20 track, but this is unlikely in the 12.xx track, I would not plan on any extensions in any 12.xx tracks beyond the two year post next release window.

Regards,
Brett
