Hello,
We are suffering this problem in a Windows 7 workstation connected thorugh a VPN. The rest of users are not complaining, so it seems to ba a problem in this specific laptop.
It is not a username, document settings or permissions problem, since the message is only shown to the user in his laptop and session. The message is not shown to me with his username, in my laptop.
Switching laptops is not an option, he is thousands of kilometers away 😉
So it seems to be a problem on the user side (connection or browser). Does anyone have had this problem before, but client-side related?
Many thanks in advance.
Mmm, I was unable to solve this the way you suggested... I increased the timeout value to 10000 but had no lock with this.
One interesting symptom is that another user that had no problems before, suffered this timeout when at user1's location... so it seems to be a problem in the local network of user1.
What we did was to publish IE as an application in our Citrix server, with the QV reports page as the homepage.
I know it is not strictly a QV solution, and you need Citrix also (maybe Terminal Services can do the job). But it works for this user, he can read his reports now.
Regards.
The reason might be slow network from client because of VPN and the distance. Try increasing the QvsTimeout parameter in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QvWebServer\config.xml file

I'm dealing with this issue on an unusual network setup. I don't have any more to add at this point though.
We have many users around the globe. the timeout should help

This turned out to be a router or other network equipment closing the connection from the plugin to the sever. Combine this with the fact that an authentication ticket can only be used once and the client had no choice but to close.
I have set it up but I am still waiting for the user's answer. I'll keep you updated.
