hi,
is it possible to access the access point without connect the remote desktop?
if it's possible, how i do that?
thanks
Use the following url:
http://localhost/qlikview/index.htm
just replace localhost with the name of your server
Clients usually access Accesspoint from a web browser on their local machine.
what is access the access point?
if you want to access your QlikView doc without using remote desktop
open a browser and
serverip/qlikview
if you want to manage your QlikView server open the browser
serverip:4780/qmc
Hi Maor,
You link to the access point by using the web browser as stated by Bill.
The link you will use is ip address\QlikView. For instance: 10.0.1.33/QlikView
Regards,
Marius
The access point is the Web Based portal used to allow users to gain access to dashboard, accessed from the url supplied on my last post.
hi,
thank you all.
i used the link servername/qlikview/login2.htm and it's worked only in the local net.
if i tried from another computer it worked only if i was connected with the vpn,
and also not recognized the user by active directory.
how can i use the access point without connect the vpn and make the server recognize me as AD?
thanks
That will work but its in general recommend to use the servers dns name instead of its IP address.
When you move from a LAN computer to a WAN computer, do you really want access to a business-ciritical service without tight security?
AD does not propagate across the internet. The best thing you can do is duplicate the web server in the DMZ or move it overthere altogether, and configure your firewall(s) to allow connections from anywhere. Still, you will have to provide login credentials at some point in time. IIS+client certificates may provide a solution if you want to get rid of that dialog as well.
