hi,
i want to make some report in qlikview server as a default report.
when we open the qlikview server with url, it should open particular report without selecting any report or browsing for any report.
Is it possible to do that in qlikview?
Hi,
What you can do to go directly to a document instead of going to the Accesspoint, then opening a document is to give the users the document URL. For that, go yourself to the Accesspoint, open the document with the desired client (Ajax or Plugin) and copy the URL that you have in your browser. Then send this URL to any user.
On the other hand, you can keep the Accesspoint, but add the document to Favorites, and set the Category to Favorites, instead of the default "All Documents". You will need that each user add the document as favorite, so that information keeps in the Server.
Hope that helps.
Miguel
thanks for reply miguel,
but i want to show the qlikview document in powerpoint.
i used ocx in powerpoint to show the qlikview report, i have given the server URL in the ocx, so it shows the access point, i tried to copy the URL which you said, but that is not opening in the Powerpoint.
it shows the URL could not be opened.
so how i can show the particular qlikview report in powerpoint using ocx?
Hi,
Don't think that possible. You can convert a QlikView report into a Powerpoint file using macros, and you can finde some examples in this forums. But you cannot embed a QVW file into a PPT or PPTX file. Did you try, first of all, to embed your QVW file into a plain IFRAME html page? Does that work fine?
Regards,
Miguel
hi,
i have used OCX to show the qlikview report in ppt, it works fine.
In OCX, i give the url of the qlikview server. so it opens the access point, shows all the reports deployed on the server. And there the user has to select particular report and open it.
Instead of user selecting and opening the report, if they open the url, it should show the report which i want to show to the users.
Is there a way for a QlikView Administrator to see the default category to "Favorites" for all QlikView users in AccessPoint?
