what is the exact reason for long running tasks? how do we find the exact solution why tasks are running very long.
?
Hi @kumarbala,
To troubleshoot QDS reload/distribution tasks you'll want to start by reviewing the task log of the task. By default, the task logs are stored in %ProgramData%\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log\DateOfTask\NameOfTask (if you have a clustered QDS Publisher, there will be a 1, 2, etc. directories depending upon the number of clustered QDSs). If you have configured the QDS Application Data Folder in a different folder, you can check the location by looking in the QMC > System > Setup > Distribution Services > QDS@ > General tab.
Review and compare a normal task to a long running task and check for disparities. It could be that a long running task has to wait for an available QVB engine, or some other process.

Check the logs, either at the QMC level or (more likely) at the specific QVW level. You may need to manually turn on the logging option in your QVWs.
