"Close" in AJAX client

Hi all,

In QV10, there is a "Close" link in the top right of the AJAX client. When user click on Close, the user will redirected to a blank page with a Restore link on the top right. Is this working as intended? Coz it is kinda confusing for the user as they expect the "Close" option = closing the document/client.

Does anybody know more about this "feature"? Not only does the close link not close the window, it does not release the session CAL which makes the close link useless.

Just a bump, since I am seeing the same in Qlikview 11SR1 (was QV 9 before, without using the web client.

Edit: Additional info: Using IE 9 as client.

It closes the user session on the server, letting it available for someone else if your server uses session CALs (I don't think it is of any use if you have named CALs though).

One thing we've noticed is that using the "close" in AJAX also clears user selections, so that when the user comes back into the document from access point it no longer saved their state.  If the user instead closes the window w/o using the "close" selection, their state is retained.
