Hi All,
We're facing one issue related to Qlikview Server. When we are logging into access point it is showing error "NO SERVER"
All services are up and running in their respective machines and in QMC.
Below is the setup:
MACHINE1 Qlikview Publisher (QMC,QDS) installed Domain Dom1
MACHINE2 Qlikview Server1 (QMS,DSC) installed Domain Dom1
MACHINE3 Qlikview Server2 (QMS,DSC) installed Domain Dom1
MACHINE4 Qlikview WebServer1 (QVWS) installed Domain Dom2
MACHINE5 Qlikview WebServer2 (QVWS) installed Domain Dom2
Qlikview Server1 and Qlikview Server2 will operate in Cluster Mode.
Qlikview WebServer1 and Qlikview WebServer2 will operate in Cluster Mode.
We've given Dom2 service account credentials in the login tab in the setup for Webservers , So that it is able to access QVWS in Dom2 from Dom1.
We've also modified the Qlikview Webservers' config file i.e. values under and tags so that it is able to identify Qlikview Servers (Qlikview Server1 and Qlikview Server2) in Dom1 from Dom2.
Now All the services are up and ports are open.
When a user tries to access the application through access point using Dom1 credentails Error: "NO SERVER" is displayed When a user tried to access the application through access point using Dom2 credentails Error: "NO SERVER" is displayed. Bot the users have been assigned a Named CAL.
Please tell why is this happening and how to resolve this.
Thanks & Regards
Suhas Gupta
Hi,
Is this happening to all users?
Port 4747 has to be open between the Webservers and QVS. Could this port be blocked? The service account has to rights in both domains and this would also means the application pool ID has to also.
Bill
Please check the points suggested by Bill. Also, make sure your QlikView Server License is not expired.
Cheers,
DV

Thanks Bill for reply.
Is this happening to all users? Yes Bill this is happening to all users whether added as Dom1 domain users or Dom2 domain users.
Port 4747 has to be open between the Webservers and QVS. Yes Port 4747 4774 are open.
I have two service accounts one for Dom1 and another for Dom2.

HI,
I'm not sure that will work in a cluster setup having two different service accounts.
Bill
Hi Bill,
Suppose I don't have cluster I have one QVServer in machine 1 Domain Dom1 and -Service account in Dom1
one QVPublisher in machine 2 Domain Dom1 and - Service account in Dom1
one QVWS in machine 3 Domain Dom2. Service account also in Dom2
In above case will it work.
Thanks & Regards
Suhas Gupta
If I was the system architecture I would put everything in one domain and setup a trust between the two domains.
Bill
Hi Suhas,
This is a complex setup.
What version of QlikView you use?
I believe you have to wait for 11.2 SR7 which may be releasing this month.
11.2 SR7 now supports cross domain authentication.
