Alerts through Ajax client

Hi,

I want to check if the alert features of sending an email and pop up message can work with Ajax client. In qlikview help, it states that we cannot send alerts with ajax client. However when I tried checking for pop up message it did show me the message when I opened the dashboard.

Can someone please share any information on this. It is urgent, hence would appreciate your response asap.

Thanks,

Malaika

Hi Malaika,

Which alert you are talking about. If you have created alert which is mentioned in the document CREATING AUTOMATED ALERTS AND EMAILS SENDING BASED ON DATA LOADED IN QLIKVIEW.docx then it may not work in AJAX Client.

Can you confirm which alert you're using?

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I am using alert wizard in the qlikview and tried to create both email and pop up message. There is no way i could do the test for email as i would need SMTP server but when i tested for pop up message in ajax it did pop up in access point. So I am not sure if it works in ajax or it doesnt.  As per qlikview help, both email and popup message doesnt work in ajax.

THanks

What i understand from qlikview help file about alert functionality is that

the functionality is qlikview's and not by Ajax. That doesn't mean Ajax

wont support alert functionality.

Anyone can correct me if i am wrong?

Hi,

I hope the built-in alerts should work in Ajax mode.

If you are trying to use the Macro then it will not work in Ajax mode.
