Any Way to reduce the data in the application on a specific selection from another application?

Hi ,

We are opening a Document from other document using open Document and Transfer state check box.

Now When the Other Document opens up , all the selections from first document passes properly to second document.

I want that the data should be reduced only for that selection in the second QVW.

If there is any work around please suggest .

Are you opening the document by a button? Then you could add som Clear Field triggers before the Open QlikView Document action

Yes i am opening the second document by a button .
the clear field button will just clear the selected fields in the first document .

What i want is to restrict the second application for only those selections made on the first document.

For eg: In my first document i have ID's (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) I select 1,2 in the first document and click a button to open the second document .
In the second document only ID 1 and 2 should be visible other ID's should not be there in the document.

You could solve this by in some way force the execution of a ReduceData macro. A macro can be triggered by a button similar as you do with open document and clear fields.

To access the Edit Macro module press Ctrl-M

This macro does not work on the access point , any way we can handle it on access point

We use the ajax Client Hence it wont work on the Access point
